Why Would Someone Pay You To Surf.
How Does The System Work.

Here is the How'n'Why of 'Paid To Surf' companies, why they hand out cash to people for being on-line, and how you can go about earning that cash and increasing the payments.

Question...Why would someone pay you to surf?
Answer...They wouldn't...But they will pay you to look at adverts, even if the adverts are there on your screen while you do other things.

First Why?

The Internet is very much like television...no hold on, it really is. It is a mass media, it gets into a vast number of homes and is looked at, and entertains, a truly huge number of people. But there the similarity ends and we come to the big problem for advertisers.

With television you watch what you are given to watch. Sure you have the choice of a few dozen channels, if you are lucky, but what is shown on those channels is what you get to see, including the adverts.

On the other hand, the Internet has millions of sites that you could visit, or 'watch'. The majority of these sites have advertising but few visitors, the advertisers have no idea who visits the sites, or how many, or how often.

Manufacturers know that the only way they are going to sell their product is if people know that the product exists. The only way to show the people what they could buy is to advertise. How do you get enough people to watch your advertisement if they don't have to? The simple answer is to pay them to watch the adverts.

Where the Pay To Surf companies fit in...
Some forward thinking individuals came up with the idea a while back. The advertisers are happy to pay an amount, X, to know for certain that a given number of people will see their advert, but they are willing to pay X plus a whole lot more to know that a given number of people with a preference for the product type are going to see their advert.

The forward thinking people decided that the best way to get people to actually watch the advert is to take a percentage of that revenue and give it to the viewer. A great incentive and, given the number of people now using the Internet, a great money spinner for all concerned, including the viewer.

Then, once they started thinking about incentives, they hit upon a commission system, giving the viewers a bonus if they refer more viewers. Thus generating more advertising and more money.

How it works...

If you sign up with AllAdvantage (we will take AllAdvantage as our example, they are the biggest, best known and have a fixed payment system which makes it easy to show how it works), they will pay you $0.50 per hour, up to 25 hours per month, roughly 1 hour per day so you will make $12.50 per month.

If you then refer someone to them, they will give you a commission of $0.10 for each hour they are surfing and $0.05 for all referrals from there until you reach 5 levels. So let's say you sign up 5 people who each refer 5 people and so on. The figures work like this

Level Hours Rate People Total
Your surfing at 1 hour per day $12.50
1 25 $0.10 5 $12.50
2 25 $0.05 25 $31.25
3 25 $0.05 125 $156.25
4 25 $0.05 625 $781.25
5 25 $0.05 3125 $3,906.25
Your Total Monthly Income $4,900.00

This is why AllAdvantage have over 4 million people signed up with them.

There is no selling on anybody's part, except to the extent that there is selling on the television. The individual who signs up, you, is under no obligation to encourage anyone else to join, but you will make more money if you do. You only watch the adverts, or have the advertising banner bar active, when you choose and only click on adverts that interest you. You are in complete control of the whole thing.

Each company's system varies slightly, but the essential premise for the whole thing is that advertisers must show adverts and, on the Internet, the best way to do that is to pay people like us to watch them.

Given that you now know the How and Why, if you want to check a couple of sites for yourself, here are a couple of links. Be sure to read the 'Terms and Conditions', rules and current rates of pay carefully.
